I want to take a moment to express how satisfied I am with Dr. Braithwaite and his team at The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago. I traveled from DTX for a gynecomastia revision with liposuction after not getting the results I wanted from a previous surgeon, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations.
From my pre-op appointment through my first post-op visit, everything was handled with professionalism and care. The nurses and CRNA were excellent—thorough, attentive, and focused on making sure I was comfortable and well-informed throughout the process.
Dr. Braithwaite truly stands out. He took the time to understand my concerns and goals, worked with me to create a plan we both felt confident in, and treated me like an individual—not just another patient. My results have been outstanding, and it’s clear why he’s so highly sought after for this procedure. Dr. B, you are the man!
I’m incredibly grateful to the entire team for not only delivering amazing care but also making my trip to Chicago a great experience. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Dr Cobbins is sweet.
But my issue was I heard that she does NOT do gynecomastia with skin removal with free nipple graft (since I have grade 3 gyno). So when I called the office to confirm if they do skin removal the receptionist stated she does (she confirmed with me twice). When I get there Dr. Cobbins told me she would not do skin removal. It would have saved me $100 consultation fee if the receptionist could have just known this.
Second issue was that I was quoted $10,650 for my Lipo 360. While another person who was bigger than me was quoted $6,200 (both back in 2024). If there is a good reason I would like to know why and I will revise my review but for now I have to remove a star for it.
I would say for grade 1 or 2 gyno go with their office, but for grade 3 and 4, avoid them.

I got gynecomastia surgery and liposuction on my midsection back in February 2024 with Dr. Cobbins. She is a nice lady but the results were lackluster. I still have very obvious glands and fat in my chest and my stomach hasnt gone down in any significant way. If you are on the heavier side it's best to find another surgeon.

I flew into Chicago from California to be seen by Dr. Cobbins due to her and Dr. Braithwaite’s phenomenal reputations. She’s truly an expert in her field and makes you feel welcome the moment she walks into the room. She ensures you’re 100% comfortable with the procedure(s) and fully aware of the process; from prep, to surgery, and post op care. She takes the time to get to know her patients, addresses any questions/concerns, and genuinely puts care into each person she sees. I am 4 months and 2 days post-op with Dr. Braithwaite, and my results are phenomenal. I truly cannot recommend him enough to anyone considering surgery.
I flew to Chicago from the NYC area and was initially apprehensive about traveling for a procedure, but I ultimately chose Dr. Braithwaite because I genuinely felt the value he brings was above and beyond everyone else I researched locally.
I arrived in Chicago the day before surgery, had the procedure the following day, and flew back to NYC the next day. Over the weeks and months that followed, I had virtual follow-ups with Dr. Braithwaite to monitor my recovery, and everything went smoothly.
Dr. Braithwaite genuinely cared about my results and is a stand-up guy whom I enjoyed speaking with throughout the entire process. Choosing Dr. B was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
