From consultation to post-op, I’ve always felt fully informed, supported, and in expert hands. I wouldn’t go anywhere else—his work speaks for itself. I initially had liposuction with Dr. Wiesman in April 2024, and within about a month, he was already discussing revision.
From the beginning, there were red flags. I showed up for my first surgery on the date I had been given, only to be told I wasn’t even on the schedule. There was no accountability or apology—just disorganization and dismissiveness from the staff.
Following the procedure, I raised repeated concerns during multiple follow-up appointments about uneven contouring, swelling, scarring, and visible irregularities. Instead of being addressed, these concerns were consistently dismissed. Conversations were repeatedly redirected toward additional procedures that felt unnecessary and inappropriate. It came across as though upselling was being prioritized over addressing the outcome of a surgery I had just undergone—something never discussed during my initial consultation. This occurred on multiple occasions.
The outcome of the surgery was extremely concerning: uneven abdominal contouring, visible bulging, significant discoloration, and areas that appeared untouched despite being included in the procedure. My flanks were a primary concern, yet I was later told nothing had been removed because he “didn’t want to take anything out” of that area, despite it being part of what I was told would be treated.
Over time, the repeated dismissal of my concerns made me start questioning my own perception of what I was seeing.
The revision process was even worse. I took time off work and prepared for surgery, only to be told—while I was already there—that it had to be canceled due to equipment issues. No one proactively contacted me to reschedule, and I had to repeatedly follow up myself.
Recovery was significantly downplayed. I was told it would feel like doing “a thousand crunches,” but the reality was prolonged pain, swelling, and ongoing issues that I am still dealing with over a year later. My concerns were consistently met with a dismissive response rather than clear guidance.
Even after two procedures, I am still dealing with uneven results and ongoing issues. I have had to seek outside input from multiple dermatologists and plastic surgeons to better understand what I was experiencing and to confirm that my concerns were valid.
After spending a very significant amount of money, this entire experience has been incredibly disappointing and has taken up a substantial amount of my time trying to address the outcome. This is an aggressive procedure, and I did not receive the level of care or guidance I expected.
Since undergoing this, I have found myself thinking I likely would have been happier had I chosen a different surgeon. I would not recommend this practice.

I had the best experience for both my breast augmentation and surgical lip lift with Dr. Wiesman and his staff! Dr. Wiesman is very professional and I trust him emphatically! He knew the perfect implant size for me and my baseline, goal, and lifestyle. I love my lip lift results as well - we kept it very natural looking and balanced. I felt very well informed of the healing process, projected results and what to expect. Sam and Dr. Wiesman’s nurses were so friendly and great to work with! I appreciate Dr. Wiesman + staff’s honesty. I look forward to going to Dr. Wiesman for any of my surgical needs in the future!

Has two offices Chicago and Highland Park for patients convenience.

Dr Irv Wiesman has attended most advanced training and conferences on newest research and techniques to provide top experience.
Highly recommend his practice for people looking for top notch Doctor.

Best doctor experience I’ve ever. Dr. Wiesman, Sam, and the entire staff are fantastic. Dr. W makes you feel comfortable, never judged or made to feel like there’s any procedure that you need to have, like so many cosmetic surgeons do. He asked me what I wanted to change about myself and essentially would make me happy. He consistently checked in after the surgery and personally called me to make sure that I was ok. At this point I have had four surgery with Dr. Wiesman and have a fifth planned for January. As a repeat patient, Dr. W has been very considerate financially, always seeing if there’s another option so I’m not having to put out unnecessary money if the procedure is unnecessary or there is a more natural option. Before my tummy tuck, the doctor was very encouraging and even provided options to help me lose weight so that I would have the most success after the surgery, but also to benefit my health overall. Between surgeries, different injections to target areas that do not require surgery, skin treatments and my own health journey, I have never been happier with my appearance. Would not go anywhere else.
