I saw Dr. Pensler for a bilateral gynecomastia operation, and I couldn’t be any happier about my entire experience with him and his staff! When I met with him for my consultation, he was extremely easy to talk to, and he was very informative and helpful with explaining the operation. He even showed me a variety of before and after picture so I would have a reasonable idea of what to expect after surgery - that’s when I really knew I wanted Dr. Pensler to do my surgery. The before and after pictures he showed me were absolutely incredible! I remember thinking that a lot of the after pictures looked like they never even needed surgery in the first place, the results were so flawless. The morning of my operation, I was definitely nervous - I mean, who wouldn’t be. Once I met with Dr. Pensler and his fabulous nurse Laurie, however, they were so incredibly welcoming and they went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and confident. Nurse Laurie was a fountain of knowledge and helpful tips for a successful recovery after the operation. It was very helpful, too - I remember after the operation when I was at home, I was constantly remembering “Okay, what did Nurse Laurie say to do…” and all of her advice was wonderfully helpful. Once I was in the operating room, Dr. Pensler and Laurie spoke with me about stories from medical school, they asked about what I did for a living, so on and so on...just really nice coffee talk to help ease my nerves before the surgery. Before I knew it, I was out like a light - and I was coming back to reality what felt like three seconds later. I remember there being slight, slight pain in my chest immediately after surgery, but it was totally bearable. The night after my surgery, there was definitely some swelling and some soreness, which is definitely expected, but it was never unbearable at any time. I sat down in a recliner for the night with some ice packs, and I got up occasionally to get some water or to eat dinner. Over the next few days, I was able to go on some nice walks through the neighborhood with very little discomfort - honestly, the only discomfort I experienced was the swelling beneath the compression vest. I considered myself lucky that’s the only discomfort I had, though! I never had any real pain at all, thank goodness! A lot of that I attribute to Dr. Pensler’s surgical techniques - he is truly a master at what he does. I am about a month and a half out from my surgery right now, and I couldn’t be happier with my results. I find myself purposely going to the mirror and lifting my shirt at least 9 or 10 times a day, just to make sure that the results are still there, as if I’m afraid the fabulous results are just going to disappear - they’re still there, though! If you are ready to have this operation done, do not hesitate at all to go forward with Dr. Pensler - you will not have any regrets whatsoever. A fabulous doctor, an incredible staff, really amazing surgical results, and all for a very agreeable price. You really cannot go wrong at all choosing Dr. Pensler as your surgeon! PS - For those of you browsing through a lot of reviews, I remember originally being concerned that some reviews mentioned that Dr. Pensler and his staff “don’t care about you” once he is paid and the surgery is over. Some people mentioned that after their surgery, Dr. Pensler was very rude and didn’t want to help them anymore - THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. Dr. Pensler was incredibly helpful after my surgery, and he answered all of the e-mails that I sent to him with questions about my recovery. He and his staff were also incredibly friendly and more than helpful during all of my follow-up appointments at his office. So, if you’ve seen reviews along those lines as well, be sure to take them with a huge grain of salt!

I went to Dr. Pensler for a breast augmentation and my entire experience there was nothing but comfortable. From the moment I went there for my consultation I was always treated with kindness and everyone was very personable. Dr. Pensler helped me pick out the best size that would look best on me and I agreed with his opinion. The day of my surgery was just as comfortable. I was talked through the entire process so I wasn't just left in the dark. I felt as if I was in control of the situation. I have nothing but good things to say about this office and I will go back there for any other cosmetic surgeries I may need :)

I had a breast augmentation by Dr. Pensler 21 years ago. I was left with one breast grossly disproportionate from the other. I went to him days later and he stated that they had to drop. I had one breast that was hard and too high and the other breast that was soft and was visibly lower. 21 years later my left breast ruptured. I just had surgery days ago. The plastic surgeon gave me my implants and stated the reason the breast was so hard, was because the previous Dr. overfilled the implant. My advice to anyone seeking an augmentation, don’t do it. The risks involved far outweigh the benefits. Breast Implants are now black boxed labeled. Do your research. I would also suggest making sure the surgeon doesn’t have any malpractice suits against him.

I procrastinated for about a year before I actually went forward with scheduling my gynecomastia surgery. Let me tell you it has changed my life extremely. I am a former athlete that has been fit majority of my life but gained weight after college. When I lost weight I saw that my chest was very flabby/pointy and even with chest workouts it stayed the same. I knew nothing about gynecomastia/male breast until I did my research. The day I knew I needed to find the best doctor to help me correct this feminine feature I found Dr Pensler. I came in for 2 consultations before we went through with the surgery. The surgery was great in my opinion and I recovered really fast. I followed all instructions to walk for about 45 min a day post operation. You have to keep the compression vest on after surgery for 72 hours before removed for a full shower. You also have to continue to wear vest for 4 to 8 weeks. When I took off my vest for the first time after surgery I was amazed. My chest looked masculine and muscular like I wanted. A big life changer and a confidence booster. Dr Pensler changed my life and I would recommend anyone who has mild or severe gynecomastia to consult with Dr Pensler and his staff. He’s definitely the best in the business.

Dr. Pensler and his staff are both outstanding and professional. I had bilateral gynecomastia surgery by him and the result has been phenomenal. They explained every step of the procedure as well as what to expect after surgery. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and quickly by email and phone, even after regular business hours. My girlfriend fainted and they did an excellent job making sure she was ok before proceeding. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
